Altercation Leads to Shooting

 

A late night altercation Sunday led to the firing of a BB gun.

According to Fargo Police, at 10:47 p.m. Sunday evening, officers were dispatched to the 1500 block of 21st Avenue South, for a reported shooting that had just taken place.

When officers arrived, they found a victim, who stated he had just been shot by a person with a handgun. The victim was not injured.

Officers determined that a BB gun was used, due to impact marks on the victim’s vehicle.

Searching the area, officers located the suspect nearby in his apartment, and recovered a BB gun pistol.

The suspect, 26-year-old Dominic Pierce, of Fargo, was identified and arrested for Class C Felony Reckless Endangerment. Through the course of an investigation, it was determined that a verbal altercation between the victim and Dominic led to the shooting.

There is not threat to the public.
