At approximately 3:30 a.m. Wednesday, West Fargo Police officers were dispatched to a disturbance at the 800 block of Beaton Drive. When officers arrived on scene they met with multiple individuals who claimed they were assaulted with a golf club, and that their vehicle was also damaged with the club.
The responsible party fled into the surrounding residential area, and on multiple occasions fled at the sight of officers. With the assistance of a Fargo K9, one suspect – identified as Peyton Wentz – was apprehended and a person of interest identified.
Wentz was booked into the Cass County Jail for Aggravated Assault, Criminal Mischief and Fleeing a Peace Officer. Wentz is from Fargo and is 18 years old.
This incident is currently under investigation and no further comment will be provided at this time.
