The Moorhead Police Department is asking the public's assistance in locating suspect of a domestic assault that occurred overnight.
On Thursday, at approximately 1:45 a.m., officers were dispatched to the area of 24th Avenue and 8th Street South. A female reported she had been assaulted by a known male and had received non-life threatening injuries. The woman did not require medical attention.
The suspect, 35-year old Blake Fitzgerald, was not located.
Fitzgerald has a past history of domestic assault, and is currently out on bail from a barricaded incident that occurred in April. Fitzgerald will now be facing charges for Felony Domestic Assault and Violation of an Order for Protection.
