The Cass County Sheriff’s Office says a fireworks theft was reported Friday in Horace.
Through the initial part of the investigation, deputies learned someone forced entry, gaining access to the facility.
As of Friday afternoon, an undisclosed amount of inventory has been reported as stolen.
Earlier in June, a similar theft occurred in Frontier, and it is unknown, at this time, if the thefts are related.
The Sheriff’s Office urges fireworks vendors to take extra precautions and report suspicious activity.
The investigation remains active.
