Grand Forks Police Investigate Robbery

 

The Grand Forks Police Department is investigating a robbery that occurred Monday morning.

According to the police department, the robbery, in the 2300 block of South 17th Street, was reported at 6:53 a.m.

The victim, a 62-year-old Grand Forks woman, had exited her apartment, when she was approached by a male subject, who brandished a knife and demanded money. She gave the subject a small amount of cash, and the suspect pushed her away and fled.

The suspect rode away from the area on a bicycle.

Police say the incident had occurred an estimated 30 minutes before the report was made, and that the victim suffered no injuries.

The suspect is described as a Caucasian male, approximately six feet tall, slim build, shoulder length brown hair, blue jeans, a light colored t-shirt with the sleeves ripped off, minimal facial hair and his age to be in his early to mid 20’s. The suspect remains unidentified.
