At 12:52 a.m. today, a Fargo Police officer attempted to effect a traffic stop in the 4300 block of 9th Avenue Circle South, for a red light violation.
The driver, identified as Abraham Nyei, 26 years old of Fargo, eventually stopped the vehicle and became non-compliant.
Nyei placed the vehicle in reverse and began backing up as three officers gave commands to which Nyei disregarded. The officer's broke the driver's side window in an attempt to gain control of the male and the moving vehicle.
As a result, officers received minor injuries.
While attempting to get Nyei into the squad car, Nyei charged at an officer causing him to stumble backward and fall causing minor injuries to the officer.
Nyei was arrested for fleeing, preventing arrest and possession of marijuana.
