Fargo Library Hosts Kids’ Summer Reading Program Wrap-up Events Next Week

 

The Fargo Public Library is wrapping up the Summer Reading Program with free, space-themed events at the MSUM Planetarium. Youngsters can watch a show and then complete fun space-related activities with staff from MSUM’s Department of Physics and Astronomy. All events listed will take place at the MSUM Planetarium (700 11th St. S., Moorhead, MN). Space is limited for these sessions, and pre-registration is required. Pre-register online or by calling the Children’s Services Department at 701.241.1495. Due to limited space, there is a limit of one adult per child. All individuals (children and adults) attending the event need to register. Dates, times and film titles with appropriate ages are listed below:

        Monday, July 29 at 10 a.m. – “Max Goes to the Moon” (ages 3 to 5 years old)

        Monday, July 29 at 6:30 p.m. – “CAPCOM GO! The Apollo Story” (ages 9 to 12 years old)

        Tuesday, July 30 at 2 p.m. – “Constellations for Kids” (ages 9 to 12 years old) 

        Wednesday, July 31 at 10 a.m. – “The Sun’s Family: A Trip Through the Solar System” (ages 5 to 8 years old)

        Friday, Aug. 2 at 6:30 p.m.  – “Max Goes to the Moon” (ages 3 to 5 years old) 

        Saturday, Aug. 3 at 10 a.m. – “Constellations for Kids” (ages 5 to 8 years old)

        The Summer Reading Program Wrap-Up events are made possible by support from the Friends of the Fargo Public Library.
