Old National Bank Named a Best Place to Work for Disability Inclusion by AAPD and USBLN

Old National Bank (NASDAQ:ONB) announced today that the company has received the top score of 100% on the Disability Equality Index® (DEI®), a joint initiative of the American Association of People with Disabilities (AAPD) and Disability: IN, formerly the U.S. Business Leadership Network (USBLN®).

Disability: IN is aimed at promoting inclusivity and understanding of people with disabilities in the workplace. As a top-scoring company, Old National is also being recognized as one of the “2018 DEI Best Places to Work for Disability Inclusion.”

Old National is one of 91 companies that scored 100% and ranks among businesses such as Microsoft, 3M, Walmart, Delta Airlines, Mastercard and more.  There were 145 companies named to the list overall. The full company list can be accessed here: https://disabilityequalityindex.org/top_companies.

The DEI is jointly designed by disability advocates and business leaders as the nation’s most trusted comprehensive benchmarking tool for disability inclusion. The Index measures key performance indicators across organizational culture, leadership, accessibility, employment, community engagement, support services and supplier diversity.

“We applaud those companies that choose to take the DEI year after year and truly commit to advancing disability inclusion,” said Jill Houghton, President and CEO of Disability: IN. “Although we are far from true inclusion of people with disabilities across the enterprise, the DEI signals corporate America is recognizing inclusion as a competitive edge and beneficial for all.”

“Old National is committed to fostering an inclusive work environment where associates of all abilities and backgrounds feel supported, engaged, valued and respected and are able to reach their highest potential,” said Old National Chairman and CEO Bob Jones. “Our associates are our strongest asset and this rich culture of diversity is the cornerstone of our success.”

“We are honored to be recognized as a leading employer for our disability inclusion initiatives,” added Old National Diversity & Inclusion Director Danyelle Granger. “Whether it’s in the workplace, the workforce, the marketplace or the community, Old National is firmly committed to inclusion.”
