Manvel Man Crashes Into House

 

A Manvel man was injured in a crash Thursday night in Grand Forks County.

According to a news release from the North Dakota Highway Patrol, a 2016 Chevrolet pickup, driven by 90-year-old Ardell Johnson, of Manvel, was eastbound on Grand Forks County Road 6, when his vehicle left the roadway, traveled across a field, through a shelter belt and into a yard. When it entered the yard, it struck a home.

Johnson’s vehicle came to rest inside the home, the Highway Patrol says.

According to the report, the home was occupied at the time of the crash, but no injuries were reported to the occupants inside the home. A damage estimate to the home was not immediately known.

Johnson’s pickup was totaled in the crash, which is under investigation.
