Ontario Forest Fires Send Smoke Into Region

 

Increased fire activity in the Ontario forest areas is sending smoke into the valley, mainly in northeastern North Dakota and northwestern Minnesota. Within the last eight days, the fires in Ontario have increased, and now, the smoke from those fires have invaded the area. According to the National Weather Service, the fires in Canada are producing smoke, and low to mid-level winds are moving the smoke into the region. The weather service cautions that this smoke will be very unhealthy for sensitive individuals. The smoke is moving in from the northeast in Ontario, and the most concentrated areas are in extreme northwestern Minnesota, extending into the southern area of Canada.
