The West Fargo Police Department is investigating a high-speed pursuit through the city late this morning.
According to a news release from the West Fargo P-D, the West Fargo Police was advised of an active vehicle pursuit entering the City of West Fargo. West Fargo Officers were advised the vehicle was being pursued by Moorhead Police. The vehicle turned northbound on Sheyenne St. off of Interstate 94 and West Fargo Officers attempted to stop the vehicle.
The vehicle failed to stop and officers began to pursue the vehicle. It turned west onto 13th Avenue West, then proceeded into a housing development. Then, the vehicle got back onto 13th Avenue West, and proceeded east. As it was traveling east it drove off the roadway onto a sidewalk and into a construction zone.
In the interest of public safety, West Fargo Police terminated the pursuit.
