No Funding Concerns for Mosquito Control, Says Director

Cass County Vector Control Director Ben Prather tells WZFG Radio that, despite increased July activity, the local mosquito control agency is not in danger of running out of funds.  Prather tells the Need To Know Morning Show that dry conditions in the spring and early June kept control efforts to a minimum, and even though recent weeks have been busy, there are no significant fiscal concerns.  Prather says a specific spray schedule has not been determined for this week, but additional spraying will take place in the near future, with recent rainfall creating suitable hatching conditions.  Prather says there is a round of aerial spraying scheduled for the Oxbow area mid-week.
