The female victim of Thursday morning's fire did not die from injuries related to the fire, according to Fargo Police Department Lieutenant Chris Helmick.
Helmick says the woman died of 'traumatic injuries'.
Based on investigations conducted throughout the day, Sheldon George Davis, age 44, of Fargo, was arrested Thursday evening on two charges, murder and arson. It is believed that the suspect, Davis, and the victim knew each other. Police are still investigating the extent of the relationship of the two individuals. Davis was located at a location, separate from the crime scene, in north Fargo. Police say information from a resident led them to the suspect.
Police say, at this time, no information, including the cause of death and identity of the woman, will be released. An autopsy has been scheduled for Friday morning.
The Fargo Police Department was assisted in their investigation by the United States Marshal Service and the Metro Street Crimes Unit.
