Beaton Drive, Sheyenne Street Intersection to Fully Reopen Monday

By Monday, through traffic will be able to use Beaton Drive from Sheyenne Street to Ninth Street/Veterans Boulevard intersections with underground work and paving operations complete. Temporary traffic signals will remain in use at Beaton Drive and Sheyenne Street upon restoring through traffic at the intersection.

In both directions, all traffic is now carried head-to-head with one driving lane and dedicated turning lanes to access the interstate on the eastside of Sheyenne Street from south of Beaton Drive until the new Diversion Channel Bridge. Motorists will also encounter:

  • Addition of dedicated southbound left-turn lane at the temporary 21st Avenue W. entrance off Sheyenne Street
  • North half of Christianson Drive and Sheyenne Street intersection is open with new pavement

Through the southern portion of Sheyenne Street Segment 2 project limits, the traffic patterns remain the same.

This week, south of the Interstate 94 (I-94) interchange, crews started on the last major stretch of roadway removals of the existing Sheyenne Street, south of the bridge, and continue work on the new eastbound I-94 bridge and widening of the existing Sheyenne Diversion Channel Bridge in the City of West Fargo’s Sheyenne Street Segment 2 project limits (West Beaton Drive to 32nd Avenue West).

As work progresses through the Sheyenne Street corridor, drivers are encouraged to eliminate distractions and slow down as work zone configurations may frequently shift.
