The Beltrami County Sheriff’s Office says a body has been recovered from Lake Bemidji at shortly after 12 noon Wednesday.
According to the Sheriff’s Office, the Beltrami County Sheriff’s Office 911 center received a phone call reporting an object in Lake Bemidji near the Bemidji Tourist Information Center that appeared to be that of a body. The call came in at 12:18 p.m.
Beltrami County Sheriff deputies, Bemidji Police and Fire, along with Minnesota DNR officers responded. On the scene, they recovered the body of a female. The body was transferred to the Beltrami County Coroner’s Office pending an autopsy and identification.
