Bail Set for Fargo Man in Murder, Arson Case

A judge has set bail at one million dollars cash for a Fargo man accused of killing a 52-year-old Fargo woman, Denise Anderson, and then setting the apartment she was in on fire. Court documents say the apartment was rented by the alleged suspect, Sheldon Davis.

Davis appeared in front of a judge Tuesday morning in Cass County District Court.

The State asked bail to be set at two million dollars, which Davis fought for reduction. Valley News Live's Bailey Hurley says Davis told the court, "I don't think it should be two million dollars. There's too much that's left out in this case. The news media is printing out way too much.. a bunch of lies!"

In all, Davis faces three charges: Class AA Felony of Murder, Class B Felony of Endangering by fire or explosion-Danger of death or bodily injury-Extreme indifference and Class B Felony Arson.
