(Undated) — North Dakota farmers are paying attention as federal lawmakers are set to convene in the nation’s capital at the end of the month to draft a new federal funding bill and possibly a new farm bill, as well. Last week, Senator John Hoeven said he and fellow lawmakers were looking into adding farm support to an extension of the most-recent farm bill. That announcement comes as farmers all over the country are struggling with falling commodity prices and drought. The Republican lawmaker says he’s hopeful some sort of a farm bill can be enacted before the end of the year.
