Gov. Walz Releases 52.4-Billion Dollar Budget

(St. Paul, MN)  --  Governor Tim Walz releases his two-year budget proposal.  The 52-point-four-billion-dollar budget includes more coronavirus help and increased taxes on the wealthy, among other things.  More assistance for Minnesota students is also in the budget, including free summer school programs and an increased child tax credit.  Republicans have said they won't support any tax increases so it's unclear how soon lawmakers will be able to come to an agreement on the budget, if at all.
