(Fargo, ND) -- The jury now has the case in a murder trial where the defendant is accused of killing his girlfriend with a skillet and setting his Fargo apartment on fire, with her inside. The defense in the Sheldon Davis trial rested yesterday without calling any witnesses. Prosecutors made their closing. arguments yesterday afternoon, as did the defense. Attorneys for Davis called no witnesses to the stand, even though there was talk Davis might testify himself, however that did not happen. The murder happened back in 2019. Witnesses for the prosecution testified it appeared the victim, 52-year-old Denise Anderson died from blunt force trauma, rather than smoke inhalation.
