Vincent Williams Named New Secondary Assistant Superintendent for West Fargo Public Schools

(West Fargo, ND) -- West Fargo Public Schools has it's newest addition to it's core of leadership.

Superintendent Beth Slette announced Monday afternoon that Vincent Williams has accepted the position as secondary assistant superintendent.

Williams began his career in education as a high school social studies teacher at Fargo North High School in 2004. In 2014–2015, he served as the assistant principal intern at Kennedy Elementary School in Fargo, followed by a year as the assistant principal intern at Fargo’s Lincoln Elementary School. In 2016, he accepted the position as the assistant principal and English learner coordinator at Woodrow Wilson High School. He was the principal at Fargo’s Discovery Middle School from 2017 – 2020 before being named principal at Sheyenne High School in 2020.

Williams holds a specialist’s degree in educational leadership from North Dakota State University, a master’s degree in curriculum and instruction from Minnesota State University Moorhead, and a bachelor’s degree in social studies from Minnesota State University Moorhead.

“In just a year at West Fargo Public Schools, Mr. Williams has exceeded our expectations as a skilled and compassionate leader," said Slette. "He believes in providing students with equitable opportunities to not only learn, but to also identify their passions and grow as individuals. His enthusiasm for personalized learning and collaboration will be assets to students, as well as the entire community.”

Williams will officially start his role on July 1st, following the retirement of the current secondary assistant superintendent, Dr. Allen Burgad.
