Moorhead MATBUS Changing Route

(Moorhead, MN) -- If you frequent the MATBUS in Moorhead, this is a heads up for you.

MATBUS made changes to Routes 4, 6 and 9. The changes went into effect May 1st. They include:

Route 6

• Route 6 will extend farther east to 14th Street Northeast, in order to reach new develop areas in Dilworth. The route will also be reversed in its travel direction, in order to more efficiently serve the Highway 10 Frontage Road (CVS Pharmacy) after structural changes to the intersection at 34th Street. Route 6 will no longer travel through the Cash Wise parking lot, due to a request from the property owner.

Route 9

• The loop of Route 9 that travels to Sanford has been reversed, allowing the bus to more safely serve the Vista Center for Education. There will also be on-request service through the parking lot to the Vista Center's main entrance, for riders with mobility needs. Riders can call dispatch at (701) 232-7500 option 1, then request the bus to serve the building on its next trip. The loop that travels past Menard's has been shortened to travel north on the east side of the new Career Academy (former Sam's Club). Route 9 will also no longer travel through the Cash Wise parking lot, due to a request from the property owner. A new bus stop for accessing Cash Wise will be placed on 34th Street.

Route 4

• Due to a request from the property owner, Route 4 will no longer travel through the Cash Wise parking lot as well. A new bus stop for accessing Cash Wise will be placed on 34th Street, and Runnings can be accessed at a new bus stop on 30th Street. Route 3 will still continue to travel through the Cash Wise parking lot.
