(West Fargo, ND) -- West Fargo Public Works crews will begin sealing cracks in roads Monday, May 10th. Crews will complete work according to the maintenance zone schedule and weather conditions.
During the maintenance zone day of the week, residents cannot parking on the street from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Crews will first remove excess debris from cracks and then fill with an asphalt sealant. Sealing the road cracks annually helps the City of West Fargo save money by preventing additional costly road repairs. Left untreated, cracks allow water underneath the road bases which leads to pavement damage.
The maintenance zones share the same boundaries as the garbage collection schedule. The assigned maintenance zone day of the week will be the day before garbage collection. For more information on maintenance zones, click here.
