Moorhead Wastewater Operations Manager Andy Bradshaw receives Excellence in Service Award from CGMC

(Moorhead, MN) -- Moorhead Wastewater Operations Manager Andy Bradshaw was recognized by the Coalition of Greater Minnesota Cities July 29th during the Coalition’s summer conference in Alexandria for his excellence in service to Greater Minnesota.

The Excellence in Service Award is given annually to city leaders who demonstrate knowledge, leadership and active participation in CGMC program areas over the past year.

As an experienced municipal wastewater operator and president of the Minnesota Environmental Science and Economic Review Board, Bradshaw has been a key resource for CGMC on all matters related to wastewater facilities. In recent years, he has been vocal about raising concerns about emerging pollutants, such as PFAS “forever chemicals,” and about how new water-quality regulations could impact cities. He provides a wastewater operator’s perspective as CGMC develops new legislation and he strives to find smart, cost-effective solutions that will keep our state’s waters clean without placing an undue burden on municipal facilities.

"Andy is invaluable resource for our organization," said Greg Zylka, mayor of Little Falls and president of the CGMC. "He is proactive about alerting us to new water-quality concerns and works hard to get ahead of problems. His knowledge about wastewater operations makes him an ideal sounding board as the CGMC works to address environmental issues that impact our cities.”
