West Fargo Police Department Responds to Stabbing

(West Fargo, ND) -- A strange, seemingly random stabbing is leaving West Fargo Police stumped.

Authorities say Saturday at 12:16 a.m. the West Fargo Officers were dispatched to the 400 block of Morrison Street on a report of a stabbing. They arrived on scene and spoke with the victim, a 30-year old West Fargo male.

The victim stated that while at home he heard a knock on his door. When he opened the door a white male wearing a black shirt and blue jeans pulled out a knife and cut the victim on the arm. The victim further stated the suspect ran south from the area.

As officers began to investigate the complaint, numerous inconsistencies began to show. The victim was left in the care of a local hospital and is expected to recover.

At this time the WFPD does not believe there is a public safety concern, though if you notice something suspicious, you're asked to call authorities immediately with any information.
