I-29 Temporarily Closed After Downed Powerline

(Grandin, ND) -- There were no injuries, but a bit of a traffic back-up after an incident on I-29 Monday morning.

The North Dakota Highway Patrol says around 10:45 a.m. traffic on I-29 at mile marker 90 was temporarily stopped in both directions for approximately 10 minutes while Cass County Electric replaced a downed power line that was struck in the construction zone side of I-29 by a construction vehicle.

The area that was effected was mainly closed to through traffic due to the construction, but Troopers were called to the scene to make sure the power line was properly discarded and to make sure nobody was hurt.

The line was replaced, and traffic was aloud to move through afterward with no other delays.
