(Fargo, ND) -- Inflation is impacting residents of the Red River Valley.

Rising grocery and gas prices are hitting residents in the pocketbook. Inflation in the area has hit nearly five-and-a-half percent, more than twice the typical two percent for a healthy economy.

The U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics believes this is the highest inflation has been in ten years.
