(Casselton, ND) -- The Cass County Sheriff’s Office has finished their investigation at the scene of the shooting in Casselton.
Upon review of evidence, video evidence, witness statements, and conferring with the Cass County States Attorney’s Office, the person involved in the shooting has been released from custody at this time pending further investigation.
"Through the investigation, there is no reason to believe there are any safety risks to the public from this incident or from the responsible party," said Sheriff Jesse Jahner in a statement released to WDAY Radio.
The Cass County Sheriff’s Office will hold a press conference tomorrow at 2:00 p.m. at the Cass County Law Enforcement Center where additional information will be provided.
