(Moorhead, MN) -- It was a successful Drug Take Back Day in Moorhead Saturday.
The Department took to social media to announce that the DEA's annual Take Back Day allowed authorities to gather around 82 pounds of unused medications. The goal of the event is to prevent drug addition and overdose deaths. The medication collected will now be disposed of properly, which will prevent them from misuse.
Officers say the good news is, if you weren't able to make it to the event, you can always drop off the meds to be disposed anytime in the lobby of the Law Enforcement Center.
