(Moorhead, MN) -- A city official in Moorhead is looking for a moving company to help relocate some tenants whose apartments were damaged during a fire. The fire happened October 24th at River View Heights.

People living in 5 units have to temporarily leave their homes while repairs from water damage take place.

However, the head of public housing says she's having a hard time hiring short-staffed movers to help out. "Given that there is water damage we want to get things out, dry everything out in the units, and keep the units safe so we can make the repairs and hopefully get our residents back returning to their homes as quickly as possible," said Dawn Bacon, Executive Director for the Moorhead Public Housing Department.

Bacon says they need moving help as soon as possible.  If you are a mover and would like to help, contact the Moorhead Public Housing Department at (218) 299-5458.
