The Fire Chief for the City of West Fargo provided an update to city commissioners Monday morning on the efforts to build the city's third fire station.  The new station and fire department headquarters project is planned for city owned property at 1201 10th Avenue East.

"We're in a very advantageous spot to be able to build this building with everything that we know a state-of-the-art fire station needs to have and that it is a point of pride for our community," said Chief Dan Fuller.

Planning for the new station began 4 years ago.  At that time, the estimated price tag was $10 million. Ground breaking is expected to happen in Springs 2022 and construction is expected to take about one year to complete.
