(Mapleton, ND) -- A Detroit Lakes woman is facing several charges related to an attempted break-in near Mapleton Wednesday.
The Cass County Sheriff's Office says shortly before 5 p.m, deputies were patrolling west of Mapleton and noticed suspicious activity on a property just off County Road 10. That's when contact was made with 34-year-old Tina Retz, who was in the process of burglarizing the property. A subsequent search of the vehicle by authorities resulted in drug paraphernalia and a concealed weapon being located.
Rentz was arrested on multiple charges, including burglary, carrying a concealed weapon and unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia. She was transported after arrest to the Cass County Jail.
This investigation into the attempted break-in is on-going.
