Moorhead Parks, Public Works have new home

(Moorhead, MN) -- The City of Moorhead’s Public Works Administration, including the Street Department, Forestry, Park Maintenance and Sanitation, along with City Parks and Recreation, have a new home.

The offices of the departments have relocated to 1300 15 Ave N. The move happened over several months due to construction and delayed shipping of material, with the remodeled office space in this new location increasing efficiency by allowing departments that often partner on projects to work together in the same building.

The former Public Works building at 700 15 Ave N is now the “Maintenance Shop” and houses the fleet mechanics and the majority of the large equipment for the departments.

The city does add that tree contractors who require access to the compost site can request access at the new Public Works Administration Facility.
