Fire crews respond to blaze in West Fargo home

(West Fargo, ND) -- There are no injuries after a house fire in West Fargo.

The West Fargo Fire Department says it responded to a home off 28th avenue west around 2 p.m. for reports of a fire. When crews arrived on scene, an active fire was discovered in the washing machine and was quickly extinguished.

The residents were home at the time and were safely evacuated with numerous house pets.

The West Fargo Police Department, Sanford Ambulance and the Salvation Army assisted the West Fargo Fire Department. No emergency personnel were injured.

The cost of the minor damages is to be determined. The residents will be able to stay in the home.
