(Bismarck, ND) -- A group of former University of North Dakota women's hockey players is dropping their discrimination suit against the school.

A federal judge granted a motion by the players' lawyer on December 14th to voluntarily dismiss a long-running lawsuit meant to bring women's hockey back to UND. The state had sought to dismiss the case on November 15th, saying none of the plaintiffs were eligible to play hockey at UND.

The latest dismissal does not close the door on future lawsuits.
