Moorhead Police using new non-lethal de-escalation tool

(Moorhead, MN) -- Moorhead police are instituting a new de-escalation tool.  

The device is called The Wrap and will only be used on the most uncooperative suspects. The Wrap comes in three separate parts that restrain the ankles, legs, and chest. The restraints limit movement so suspects can no longer kick but still have adequate oxygen flow. The device does not exert pressure against the chest.

Moorhead police are one of the first departments in Minnesota to use the device.
