(Moorhead, MN) -- No injuries were reported after a fire broke out in a garage in South Moorhead early Tuesday morning.

Moorhead Fire crews responded to a home in the 1900 block of 22nd avenue south around 3:30 a.m. after someone inside the home noticed smoke coming from the attached garage. When they looked inside, they found that the car inside the garage had caught fire. Shorty after, the entire garage was up in flames.

Crews were able to knock down the blaze, but not before some of the home also suffered smoke damage. It is believed the garage and car inside of it are a total loss.

A cause for the fire remains under investigation. The American Red Cross was on scene assisting the family.
