South Fargo garage fire temporarily displaces family

(Fargo, ND) -- A garage fire in south Fargo is forcing a family out of their home until officials can verify the safety of the residence.

Bruce Anderson,  Battalion Chief with Fargo Fire was on the scene, and says the fire was stopped before the home was completely destroyed.

"I'm sure the garage is a total loss, but rebuild-able," said Battalion Chief Anderson, "We did keep the fire out of the house itself."

The residents of the home discovered the fire and were able to leave without any injuries. The cause of the fire is still under investigation from officials at the scene.
