(Fargo, ND) -- Two of the big three area school districts have announced a late start to bus routes and class Friday.

Both the West Fargo and Moorhead Area Public School Districts announced late Thursday that due to expected blizzard-like conditions, a two hour delay will take place for all buses and schools.

In Moorhead, there will be no morning Early Intervention Services, Jump Start or Community Education classes. Before-school activities are canceled. Online students and West Central Academy will maintain a regular schedule.

In West Fargo, there will be no morning Early Childhood Special Education preschool, YMCA before-school care programs or breakfast at elementary schools. There will be YMCA programming at the Early Childhood Center. There will be no COVID-19 rapid testing at any district site however, and any activities scheduled to occur prior to 10:00 a.m. are canceled. The Hulbert Aquatic Center and the West Fargo Sports Arena will be open to outside rental clients all day; any high school practices and contests at these sites scheduled to occur prior to 10:00 a.m. though are also canceled.

Make sure to stay with WDAY Radio as we continue to post school delay and closure updates throughout the morning.
