Richland County Patrol vehicle struck during traffic stop

(Wahpeton, ND)-- On Tuesday, March 8th a Richland county patrol vehicle was struck by a pickup truck on i-29, just southwest of Wahpeton, while attempting to conduct a traffic stop.

Three vehicles were involved in the crash and I-29 was shut down for a short period of time. The deputy in the patrol car suffered a broken arm due to the incident and was taken to Fargo for medical treatment.

The incident remains under investigation by the North Dakota Highway Patrol.
