(Ardoch, ND) -- The North Dakota Highway Patrol say one is dead in a head-on crash that occurred just outside of Ardoch.
Authorities say an SUV was traveling northbound on US Highway 81 along a curve in the road. A semi was traveling southbound along the same curve. That is when the SUV entered the southbound lane and struck the semi head on. Both the semi and SUV fell into the east ditch, with the SUV rolling onto its driver's side.
The SUV driver suffered fatal injuries from the crash, and is waiting to be identified by family or friends. The semi driver, 78-year-old Duane Cummings, suffered no injuries. Both drivers were wearing their seatbelt.
