(Fargo, ND) -- There is forward progress to report on the new St. Paul's Newman Center at University Drive and 12th Avenue North in Fargo.

"We just began to dream and plug in our ministry needs into an architectural model and that is kind of how we got to where we are today," said Reverend James Cheney, the longtime Director at the Newman Center. He is overseeing the ongoing construction of the new $33 million dollar facility which includes student housing, a parish hall and a 425 seat chapel.

The steeple was placed atop the structure Thursday. Cheney said they completed their capital campaign last week. He expects the Parish Hall will be finished in July or August. He says it will be another year before the church is finished.
