(Ardoch, ND) -- The North Dakota Highway Patrol have released the identity of the driver who passed in yesterday's crash.

Authorities say an SUV driven by 26-year-old West Fargo resident Amanda Thompson was traveling northbound on US Highway 81 along a curve in the road. A semi was traveling southbound along the same curve. That is when Thompson's vehicle entered the southbound lane and struck the semi head on. Both the semi and SUV fell into the east ditch, with the SUV rolling onto its driver's side.

Thompson received fatal injuries from the crash. The semi driver, 78-year-old Duane Cummings, suffered no injuries. Both drivers were wearing their seatbelt.
