(Petersburg, ND) -- Eastbound travel just outside of Petersburg ground to a halt after a freight liner truck came to rest across the roadway during a particularly strong wind gust.

42-year-old Dimitar Sotriov was driving east on U.S. Highway 2 and finishing his exit at the top of an overpass near Petersburg. A strong wind caused the empty trailer being towed by Sotriov to tip onto its right side, pulling the truck trailer with it. The vehicle slid partially off the roadway, while the trailer came to rest partially over the right-hand guardrail on the overpass. No one was injured in the crash.

Eastbound traffic was redirected onto ND Highway 32 for nearly 90 minutes. Traffic is back to normal following the incident.
