(Fargo, ND) -- The Red River Valley SWAT Team assisted the Fargo Police Department’s Criminal Investigation Unit with a high-risk, knock-and-announce search warrant at the Countryside Trailer Park Tuesday morning.

Authorities say they responded and a perimeter was set up around 8:15 a.m, with the suspect, 25-year-old Deionte Prescott, inside a home in the trailer park. The SWAT Team utilized a Flash Sound Diversionary Device to create a loud bang and bright flash of light. The use of an FSDD is intended to create a distraction for the suspects to allow the officers to perform tasks that may put them in danger, unbeknownst to the suspects.

Prescott was then taken into custody without incident, roughly 45 minutes after authorities responded. Prescott has a number of active warrants for his arrest, including including possession of drugs with intent to sell in Cass County, and theft of a motor vehicle and 5th degree drug possession in Clay County.

There were no injuries in the carrying out of the search warrant, and no shots were fired.
