(Fargo, ND) -- Fargo is one of the first cities in North Dakota to get a 911 upgrade.

The new system uses GPS to provide more precise location for AT&T customers who call from a mobile device. Callers from any mobile device will be more easily found with the new technology.

Officials say callers' locations can be narrowed down to the width of a football field. The program is being rolled out in the rest of North Dakota and 14 other states plus Guam.
