(Fargo, ND) -- Wednesday marks a grim but hopeful milestone for North Dakota's only Down Syndrome Achievement Center.

The day marks one year since the devastating fire that burned Gigi's Playhouse to the ground in South Fargo. Officials continues to be on the mend, with operations continuing at their temporary location until the old center is rebuilt. That timeline is expected to hopefully be completed by sometime in July.

A car wash fundraiser is being held on Saturday, May 21st at Bailey's off 4th avenue south to continue to help the funding of the new, rebuilt center.
