Special Olympics North Dakota Summer Games to begin Saturday

(Fargo, ND) -- The 23rd annual Special Olympics North Dakota Summer Games is set to begin on Saturday, May 14th at Fargo Davies High School.

The tournament offers free competition events for children and adults with intellectual disabilities. Athletes can participate in state competitions for powerlifting, swimming, and volleyball. Outdoor events are postponed to June 25th. Athletes from across the state are expected to attend the event.

“We are thankful that the City of Fargo welcomes our athletes, families and volunteers with open arms and are such wonderful hosts.” said Victor Meza III, Director of Development of Special Olympics North Dakota. “It’s always a pleasure to come together for the Summer Games and see the excitement on our athletes faces.”
