Safety concerns prompting Fargo to consider specific rideshare pickup locations

(Fargo, ND) -- The Fargo Police Department is working on adding designated rideshare and cab pickup locations downtown.

The move is meant to eliminate safety concerns for riders, specifically those looking for rides home at bar close. The proposed plan would amend the city's existing parking ordinance and implement four specific pickup locations, one in the north, south, east, and west parts of downtown.

The department says it is considering concerns expressed by the city commission.
