South Fargo pet attacked by unleashed dog

(Fargo, ND) -- A South Fargo resident says his dog was attacked and injured by an unleashed dog.

The attack happened in the 900 block of Fourth Street South where Rod Heit kept his dog on a leash in the backyard. Heit says one of two unleashed dogs passing by bit and latched on to Heit's dog's chest.

Heit's dog didn't have deep wounds and will recover. Fargo has a leash law when dogs are not on an owner's property.
