(Grand Forks, ND) -- A Minnesota semi driver is facing multiple felony charges in connection with a deadly 2021 crash.

The eight-vehicle crash happened on Highway Two near Grand Forks International Airport last July. The Highway Patrol says Steven Piechowski's semi was reported to be swerving the morning of the crash, which then caused the chain reaction in a construction zone. One person was killed and six were injured.

Court documents show the 55-year-old Felton, Minnesota native is charged with one count of manslaughter, three counts of aggravated assault and one count of reckless endangerment with extreme indifference.
